Day 10-Summer Seaside Restaurant-1/16/2025

In the evening, heading to Summer Seaside Restaurant Phuket feels like stepping into a calmer layer of Patong, just above the chaos of Bangla Road. Minh looked up and told us it is listed in the Michelin Guide, so we know the food will be good.
One of the best parts is its second-floor vantage point overlooking Patong Beach.

The hamburger and fries was simple but satisfying, and when done right, it’s hard to beat.

I ordered a Seafood risotto

The seafood risotto has a nice nod to Western cuisine but still tied to the island with fresh local seafood like shrimp, squid, and clams.

Loan ordered a whole roasted fish.

The whole roasted fish was probably the most “coastal” dish, highlighting Phuket’s seafood in a more straightforward, flavorful way.

What stands out is that even with different styles, Western comfort food and seafood-focused dishes, the restaurant keeps a consistent level of quality. That’s often why places like this get recognized: not just for authenticity, but for executing a variety of dishes really well.

As night settled in, Summer Seaside Restaurant Phuket transformed into something even more atmospheric, the bar softly glowing, and the tables lit with cool blue lamps that gave the whole space a relaxed, almost seaside-lounge vibe.

Dessert was a highlight: a plate of profiteroles filled with ice cream and whipped cream, and then our waiter pours the hot chocolate sauce over the top.

It was rich, warm, and indulgent. It’s one of those simple but memorable touches that turns a good dessert into a great one.

And then the best part was the human connection. Our waiter, already friendly from the start, sharing a bit of conversation and then surprising our group with rounds of limoncello and sambuca. That kind of gesture isn’t just about the drinks, it’s about hospitality, about feeling welcomed and remembered.
The evening ended not just with great food, but with a warm, personal touch that made the whole experience feel special.

Walking back through Bangla Road at night is a completely different world from the daytime scene. The street becomes a flood of neon lights, loud music spilling out from every doorway, and a constant stream of people moving in every direction.

Bars line both sides, each trying to pull you in, and the energy is intense, fun for a moment, but easy to feel overwhelming after a while.

There was a lot of girls inviting people to spend time at the bar. I choose not to take photos of people in that environment to show awareness and respect, especially in a place where things can feel a bit exposed and transactional.

Passing back through the Patong Beach gate and heading for a taxi felt like a release, stepping out of the noise and back into your own pace.
After spending a short time at Patong beach, we realized that we absolutely made the right choice to stay in the Old Town. The Old Town definitely has more history, character, walkable, and relaxed streets. The Old Town also feel more authentic than the lively Patong Beach. Experiencing both in one day really shows how diverse Phuket is, but for actually staying and unwinding, Old Town is a much calmer and more meaningful base.
