Road to Nha Trang...

After a satisfying lunch we drove some more....The whole trip is about 6/7 hours including stopping for lunch and pit stop.

We are pulling out of the Parking lot.  Lots of coconut trees in Mui Ne.

As we drove further we ran into hills upon hills of Red Sand.

.

Most of the roads to Nha Trang are new and it was a really pleasant and safe ride.

As we are driving further we noticed that there are so many roads construction along the way... The country is definitely booming, and the government is definitely building infrastructure to support the growth.  Noticed the the Banh Mi (sandwiches) on the the right of the picture!  I'll tell you more towards the end of the page....

Out of no where, our driver took a detour and drove us to this remote place where a big lake lays in the middle of an arid area!  There is nothing around it but hills and sandy road...I don't remember how long the lake is, but it is pretty long.   On the two banks of the lake, Water Lillies, the flowers is called lotus, are taking over and are multiplying rapidity.  Maybe one day they will fill up the entire lake!

As we drove further to see the end of the lake, our driver noticed this man driving the motorcycle and he has a long rifle hanging on his shoulder and wrapping his back.  Immediately, our driver took a 180 degree turn and drove back to the main road. Later on, he told us that sometime they encounter bandits on the road and they could stop the whole bus and robbed us blind!  We are in the middle of nowhere and things can happened!  That was a scary thought!

We are now getting closer to Nha Trang.... A beach along the way...

One more pit stop at a nice beach.  Again, it was completed deserted!

For each pit stop, our tour guide tried to pick the nicest restrooms for our group, but we did run into some pretty archaic restrooms along the way.  But when you have to go... you have to go!

Resting a little before hoping on the bus again...

As we were leaving the place a bunch of little kids were begging, so our tour guide gave them some money so they would leave us alone.  Then we remembered that we have a few Vietnamese sandwiches left from this morning (7 hours old) so we gave them to the kids.  Their eyes just lit up and they were so delighted! then they grabbled the sandwiches in a hurry,  plop down on the road,  unwrapped the sandwiches and ate them with such pleasure!

We are getting really closer to Nha Trang now and the road leading us there is brand new.  It does not even have a name yet!  They are still planting trees on the side of the road.

Next... Nha Trang - the arrival
