At the beginning of the 20th century, a storm destroyed it and it was then rebuilt at the foot of Mount Trai. The pagoda had to be restored several times in the 20th century. The current Long Son Pagoda is dedicated to the Buddhist monks who died protesting against the US supported Diem regime.

The main attraction of this Pagoda is on top of the hill, behind the Pagoda, is a huge white Buddha seated on a lotus Blossom and visible from all over the city.

We had to climb 153 steps stone to get to the top of the hill

The Pagoda has become one of Nha Trang’s major points of interest. Most notable are the ceramic tile and glass decorations along the edge of the roof and at the entrance to the pagoda, as well as murals telling of local legends

At the top of the picture you can see a Swastika. This is one of the oldest symbols in human history. It has been used almost everywhere in the world. It is currently considered a Hindu symbol, but it also appears in Buddhism and Jainism. Throughout history it has almost always had a positive meaning. The nazis, who reversed the symbol, were the exception.

Not sure how long this bell been around but it looks like an antique one.

The Buddha is 30 feet (9 m) high sitting on a lotus pedestal. This huge Buddha is one of the most typical postcards of Nha Trang. Built in 1963, has great views of Nha Trang and nearby rural areas.
