Day 2 - Hon Trong (husband rock)
Hon Trong is an ideal place for gazing at the sea and taking a rest. Hon trong is an area where there are a wide range of rocks, from big one, medium size trough small one, with all shapes and it looks like someone were playing with them and are placing them in random order. There is a massive rock boulder at the end creating a miraculous scenery.
Climbing to the top |
Giant handprint on a massive boulder and according to local legend, a drunk giant male fairy made it when he fell while spying on female fairy bathing nude at Bai Tien (fairy Beach). |
Close look at the hand print... legend has it that the giant fairy eventually fell in love with a female fairy and began a life together. Unfortunately the gods intervened punishing the male fairy by sending him away... The lovesick female fairy waited patiently for the her husband to come back but after a very long time, despairing that he might never return, she lay down in sorrow and turned into Nui co Tien (Fairy Mountain). Looking toward the Northest from HonTrong is supposed to be her face but we were never able to figure it out and able to see what it was supposed to be her face! |

All of us checking out the rock and hanging around. The view is pretty nice from here.
View from Hon Trong back to the shore. |
We are making our descent... back to the parking lot. |
