Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas
Day 4 |
The last morning stroll on Paradise Island!
This is the first thing you see as you approach the entrance of the Royal tower, the imposing Pegasus fountain with
7 magnificent winged horses.
|
In Greek mythology, Pegasus was a winged horse, son of Poseidon, god of the sea and Medusa. Sol Kerzner, owner of Atlantis debated for a week before making an executive decision to include the Pegasus fountain in the main entrance. He thought that the winged horses did not belong on a island but in the end the Pegasus Fountain is here to welcome guests with it's grandiose presence. |
I really like the details on the building. Giant seashell served as wall decorative and also reflecting the atmosphere of the lost city underwater. |
One of many swimming pool on the resort. It is empty because this picture was taken around 6:30/7:00Am.
Still too early for the guests to wake up.
These cabins are for rent for $500/day. You will get at lot of privacy inside. |
How relaxing is this! Don't you just want to go back there again? |
I had the beach for myself and I just love it!

Hoa and I enjoying the beach for the last time before we return to reality!
If there is only one thing I can take with me during this trip then it got to be "Swimming with the sharks". An experience that would last a life time!
