Last stroll

Marina Village

This is our last day in the Bahamas!  We woke up at 6:00Am and Hoa wanted to take pictures of the resort when it is still quiet and calm

.

The Marina Village is an addition to the vast  Atlantis resort.   Opened in 2005, the Marina Village is an open-air marketplace with three main plazas that are designed to resemble an oddly picturesque and charming Bahamian settlement. The 65,000 square foot development, features five unique restaurants, 21 retail outlets, local entertainment and a collection of carts, which I bought my Conch (pronounce "Conk") shell there, that showcase the artistry of The Bahamas.

The village was an add on to the existing deep-water Marina where the largest luxury yachts dock, disembarking their passengers for an evening at the casino or a day of water activities.

Capable of handling 63 yachts up to 220 feet in length, with its own 100-foot channel into Nassau Harbor, the Marina has made Atlantis the “Monté Carlo of the Americas”, attracting the most famous sailors from around the world.

There is a Starbucks coffee in the marina village.

It is still very early and we need our coffee fix before we can walk around to take pictures of the resort.

I bought a few  rum cakes here. They were very tasty and filled with Rum-oh so yummy!

This the side of one of the restaurant at the Marina village

View of the expensive yachts docking on the Marina and in the back ground the luxurious Cove hotel, just recently opened to the public.
