Evening 2- The dig

In order to walk back to our room we had to go through the Royal Tower.

The Dig is located in the Royal tower Lobby.  It is a soaring 70-foot dome ceiling made of golden shells and showcases the Ruins Lagoon, filled with ancient Atlantis artifacts and home to over 20,000 open-water fish.

The Dig is a series of aquariums located beneath the lobby of the Royal Towers and is the world's largest open air marine habitat. Hundreds of different aquatic species can be spotted in the Dig's various tanks such as angelfish, sharks, manta rays, and various types of jellyfish.

The goal of The Dig is to provide guests with a taste of life in the legendary destroyed city of  Atlantis.

There is also a nice restaurant, the CAFÉ of the great wall of Waters, offers spectacular view of the aquarium while dinning.

I don't know what kind of fish this is but they are huge and pretty ugly.

I am barefooted because we have been walking around  for a while now and my feet are just killing me.  I am pointing to fish just to give you an idea how big they are.

This picture confirmed that they are not the cutest fish in the world!

Look carefully at the bottom of the picture and you will see a sawfish.

Color fish swimming by group.

They really have a lot of different colorful species of fish in the tank.

Lobsters galore!  Are you thinking what I am thinking?

A boiling pot of water and they will become a succulent meal!

A beautiful stingray moving gracefully underwater.

Moray eels hiding behind some potteries specially set up for them.

Colorful coral

The bottom of the floor is meant to look like wreckage and debris scattered representing the "Lost City of Atlantis."

It is so peaceful and relaxing to watch.
