Sofitel Da Lat - Breakfast - 6:30AM

Our room is located on the 2nd floor. There are only 3 floors in the hotel and only 44 rooms available. I don't know how they can make money with only 44 rooms but I guess they do, because the hotel been running for a long time now. They are closing the hotel the end of this year for more remodeling. |
The hallway is so wide! They do not make such a large hall way any longer, too much waste of space.. The hardwood floor is beautiful but it is creaking and so the kids get scared at night (watching too many scary movies?). Plus there are rumors that this place is haunted. I can not confirm the rumor... I did not see any ghosts roaming in my room or anywhere else in the hotel. To me, this hotel is so beautiful and special but I think the kids rather stay in a more modern hotel where they are used to. The old French bourgeoisie style is definitely not for them.
Lan Huong is an early bird so we were not surprised to see her already having Breakfast. The pastries in this place are unbelievable. Anh Huy must have at least 8 pastries!
Alex and Christopher ordered some eggs and they come with a silver bell cover! The kids really like that!
We told the hostess we would like to have some French baguette and some salted butter that we do not see on the buffet. A couple minutes later she came back with the baguette and the salted butter and she told us to let us know what we want and she will make it happen. The service at this hotel is impeccable and we were treated like royalty.
View from our hotel...
We are inside the hotel lobby looking out on the garden. It is just too bad that it was raining so much that we could not walk around and check out the garden.
As soon as you step out of the lobby the famous Lake Xuan Huong is right in front of the hotel. I was told that the color of the water is usually blue but because of the storm it turned to a brown color.
