We are attending Cheryl and Cubbie's wedding this weekend in the Los Angeles area so we drove down and stopped in Los Angeles for a quick drink before heading to dinner.  We did not have any plans and as we were driving around Melrose Avenue, Hoa suggested we should make a stop a Sur Restaurant.  Sur is the sexy restaurant where all the cast members of Vanderpumps rules used to work.  For those of you who are not watching Vanderpumps rules, it is a really series about young actors/actresses who are struggling to find a job as actor/model and are moonlighting at Sur to make ends meet.  Lots of drama on the show but a lot of fun to watch on Bravo.  It is a very popular show and they are in season 9 now.

We are on Melrose Avenue and the restaurant is right at the corner.

I am now walking into Sur.

The first thing you see when you enter the restaurant is the bar.

The back patio is another really cute and intimate dinning area.

As you can see SUR stands for Sexy, Unique, Restaurant.

We got here around 5:00pm and that's why there is barely anybody here at the restaurant.

Our server, really nice guy.  We asked him how long he has been with SUR and he told us over 5 years.  So we asked, how come he is not part of the cast? Apparently to be part of the cast of Vanderpumps Rules, you have to be an aspiring actor, model, or entertainer. 

I ordered a Sangria and Hoa ordered the Boulevard, Marker's Mark, Campari, St Germain, soda water, orange.

We had pretty much the whole bar to ourselves.

Picture with Peter Madrigal, Manager at Sur.

Peter is part of supporting cast at VAnderpumps Rules and can be seen partying and drinking with the cast.  He told me he takes so many pictures per day but he is always happy to oblige.

The waitress wears really skimpy, sexy outfit.  Here the waitress is taking a picture with a few ladies (look carefully and you will see Peter's head behind the green plants while 2 other ladies are looking over.

We left SUR and on way we saw the parking lot where a bunch of the casts were taking a break in the this area and most of the time there is some sort of drama going on...
