Petit Trois Restaurant, Los Angeles-10/14/2021

Sur Restaurant Petitt Trois

If you feel like eating authentic French Bistro dishes then definitely stop by Petit Trois, a tiny French Bistro from Chef Ludo Lefevre located in Los Angeles and hidden inside a strip Mall.

Before Covid the restaurant did not take reservation as it was a tight place with Ledge and stools along the wall and a marble topped counter facing the chef a work, but now there are so many tables that are set up in the parking lot and reservation is a must to get a table here.

Chef Ludo Lefevre is one of the most influential chefs in Los Angeles, pioneering and revolutionizing the culinary industry with his pop-up restaurants.

There are two Petit Trois,  This one is the original one and I was told the best one to go to.

Store front with a few tables on the side walk.

Large window looking in at the kitchen and you can see the chefs at work.

This is inside of the restaurant.  They removed chairs lining along the marble counter facing the chefs and kept the chairs opposite the kitchen so if you want to sit inside you can but the counter is so narrow.

The chefs a work.

This is the view of the restaurant from the inside looking out into the parking lot.

As you can see there are maybe a total of 6 seats inside the restaurant.

This is the set up in the parking lot with lots of tables.

Our table.

Table set up

French Baguette with Butter.  The bread is really delicious!

Escargots de Bourgogne, garlic, parsley, butter.

Classic French Bistro dish and it did not disappoint!  The best part is to soak up all the butter and goodies in a piece baguette and it simply tasted like heaven.

Trout Almondine, brown butter, lemon Supremes, toasted almond, rice pilaf

The fish was cooked to perfection with a crispy skin.  Love this dish.

Steak frites with Cognac pepper sauce

Tarte Tropezienne  with toasted almond and filled with figs jam served with crème fraiche.

I love this dessert!  The waiter told me they made their own jam and they changed the flavor depending on the season and the type of fruits that are  available.

Coffee came with a Financier.

The coffee was very good.

Next to Petit Trois is Trois Mec, Ludo's crown jewel, a brilliant fine dinning restaurant without the fluff but it is now temporarily closed due to Covid.

It used to be a Pizzeria but Ludo never removed the Neon sign so it is a bit confusing if you are looking for Trois Mec.

While we where there, they have people in there working on the restaurant and I was told, it will re-open but a new concept.

We are done with our meal and we are leaving now.

View of the parking lot at night.

We definitely will be back the next time we are in Los Angeles.  Great food and service was also excellent.
