Lunch at Pho Garden

Pho garden is located in the outer Richmond neighborhood in San Francisco.  Pho garden became a sensation when words got out that they have the biggest bowl of Pho you could ever get your hands on!  The "Pho Garden Xe Lua (meaning train in Vietnamese) in a huge massive bowl containing 2 pounds of noodles and 2 pounds of meat  combining with Rare Steak, Tripe, Well done Flank, Brisket, Soft-Tendon, and Beef Meatballs Noodle Soup.

These are the photos on the main window of the restaurant.

This is a customer trying to finish the Pho Xe Lua... I can't believe how big the bowl is.  Hoa told me that this guy was trying to hard to finish his bowl he was sweating and puffing to finish the bowl.  Looks like he is not very far from finishing it.

These are pictures of all the customers that were able to finish the Pho Xe Lua.

This is the rule of the Pho Xe Lua Challenge: The meal cost $22 if unfinished within the allotted time, which is one hour.  Challengers must eat all  noodles and combination meat to successfully beat the Pho Garden Challenge, they do not have to eat all the broth but noodle and meat must be eaten.  If a customer successfully finish the bowl,  the meal is free of charge, and an 8x10in personal photo will be displayed on the wall of Champions.

Chanh posing in front of the Champions wall.  In all the champions there is only one girl that was able to complete the challenge!

Here is a young couple that is going to take the challenge.  Before Pho garden serve you the Pho Xe Lua, people have to read the Rules & Waiver of Liability Form and sign it so just in case you get sick you can not sue the restaurant.

This couple was nice enough to let Hoa photograph them eating their Pho Xe Lua.

Note that the bowl for lady is slightly smaller than for Men.

Close up look at the bowls.  Note that there is a timer on the table, next to the vegetable dish.  People have exactly one hour to finish the bowl, if they can it is free and if they can not the bowl cost $22.  Good luck!

Picture is not great but it is a proof that we were there.  In the back you can see the couple that was taking the challenge to finish eating the Pho Xe Lua

Inside the restaurant...

Fisherman's Warf

San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf has lots of interesting and fun attractions that can only be found in the legendary City by the Bay. There is truly something for everyone to enjoy but today Hoa just wanted the group to walk around a bit after lunch and discover the wharf.

Posing in front of the famous Fisherman's wharf sign.

After that Hoa drove back to san Jose and we all went shopping.

Diner time...

.

For dinner we went to Pan Tao restaurant in Cupertino for some Chinese seafood.

Once dinner was offer we went to Santa Row and our guests were surprised that Santa Row was so crowded and lively.
