Day 4- Promenade du Claire de Lune, Dinard-9/29/2023
Protected from the prevailing winds, with its Mediterranean vegetation, the Clair de lune (moon light) seawall promenade, which begins at Prieuré beach and ends at the pier of Bec-de-la-Vallée cove, is one of the most popular walks from Dinard.
We passed by Avenue George V
A huge stone house
We are headed to the Prieuré beach
The clair de Lune is one of the most scenic walk in Dinard with views of St. Malo, St Servan, and athe Rance Estuary.
The Brittany equivalent to lae Promenade des Anglais in Nice, the Clair de Lune promenade was constructed in Dinard in the 1930s. Lined with palm trees, and set against the ocean, it borders some of the nicest homes in the area.
The tide was low when we got there.
Prieuré Bay is the pride of Dinard in Ille et Vilaine, opposite the walled town of Saint-Malo, the Cité Corsaire.
Small boats rest before setting off to explore the English Channel. Prieuré Bay is the ideal, perfect place to recharge your batteries, take a leisurely stroll along the laid-out coastal path, admiring the sailboats..
They are so many boats on the Prieure Bay.
Boats at low tide.
This portion of the Clair de lune path is next to the bay
Across the Bay is Saint Malo

What a beautiful fall day!
Walkway to the Bay
I am sure it is really nice to walk around here when the tide is high.
Estuary is where freshwater river meets the ocean.
We are now at the end of the walk.
Gorgeous view from here.
We are now leaving Dinard.
