Day 1-Dinner at Siam Center

Our hotel is located about 2 blocks from Siam Center and since it was hot and we did not want to walk around town, we decided to have dinner close by.

Siam Center was built in 1973 and was one of Bangkok's first shopping malls and went to a few renovations since then.  Siam Center’s re-launch in January 2013 brought a different kind of shopping experience to Siam: over 200 international and Thai brands including the boutiques of some brilliant promising local designers as well as renowned Thai couturiers.  Although Siam Center may have been around for over 40 years it is ultra modern with cutting-edge with luxury brand names and also unusual fashion that can only be found here.. The mall has four-stories and on top is a new food court.

Standing in front of the entrance of the mall

The mall has an ultra modern chic look with open glass and exposed steel beams.

On the top floor (4th floor) you will find the bulk of Siam Center’s eateries, including the airy food court. With a high ceiling, plenty of natural light and green walls made of shrubs it makes a refreshing change, and there are plenty of different cuisines on offer from around Asia and the rest of the world.

Restaurant-wise there is a combination of traditional Thai food, Japanese, Lao, Korean, etc...

Chinese corner with dim sum, roasted duck, roasted chicken, BBQ pork, etc...

Beverage and Dessert for after dinner.

Seating area!  Very spacious and so clean.
