Quebec City, Canada

Train from Quebec city  to Montreal- 9/25/2019

Today we are leaving Quebec City and taking a train from Old Quebec city to Montreal.

Gare du Palais ("Palace Station") is a train and bus station located in the old Quebec. We dropped of our rental car near by and walked there.

The outside is fairly small.  The station was built in 1915 by the Canadian Pacific rail way.

The two-story châteauesque station is similar in design to the Château Frontenac hotel.

Inside the train station

We are now walking toward the train station to Montreal

Inside the train... The whole trip took about 2 hours.

Train station is Montreal is a lot bigger.

Montreal, Plateau neighborhood

We rented an Air B&B in the plateau area, an upcoming area.

The area is known for laid back area and known as a young, student friendly neighborhood with streets full of charming townhouses.

We were surprised to see that all the houses have a stairs on the outside.

I guess the stairs are more convenient for the people living on the second floor with easier access.

The are houses around our neighborhood... Very different architect from what we used to is California.

NEXT... Dinner at le chien fumant
