Persimmons tart- 12/7/08

 

A few of friends gave me a lot of Persimmons and I am trying to eat a few everyday but I just have too many...

So what do I do when I have too many fruits?  Well, I try to come up with a way to use them so they do not go to waste!

Because the Persimmons are perfectly ripe, so sweet and so tasty I decided to use them to top the ever traditional almond tart.

The color of the persimmons are so gorgeous and they go very well with the almond tart.

Closer look at the tarts.  Aren't they yummy?

 

Preparation work..

I used pâte sucrčefor the dough

Filling the tart shell with Frangipane (Almond, sugar, butter)

Freshly out of the oven..

On a cooler rack until cold.

Ready to use my persimmons.

Slicing the persimmons into thin slices...
