Winter and Spring

These pictures were taken during the winter and Spring.

West Nanjing Road is a very commercial area with the highest buildings in Puxi.

We arrived in Shanghai in February and as you can see the trees are barren.

Lots of skyscrapers and luxury boutiques in the area.

In the morning trucks transport bikes to replenish various locations.

Bike Sharing is very popular in Shanghai. To rent a bike you will need to download Alipay to rent the blue bike and Meituan app for the yellow bike.

On the left is an area filled with stores selling high end watches.

Wukang Road

Wukang Mansion or Wukang Building formerly known as the Normandie Apartments or International Savings Society Apartment is a protected apartment building in the French Concession on Wukang Road.

The Wukang building was designed by Hungarian-slovak architect Laszlo Hudec and completed in 1924 and was been the residence of many celebrities.

The building is similar to the Flatiron building in New York.

The arcade of the Wukang building is reminiscent of the arcades on rue de Rivoli in Paris.
